With the help of our summer law intern, we have prepared a state-by-state summary of surrogacy in the United States. The chart covers the stance of state courts toward surrogacy, any requirements that the intended parents be married, whether money is allowed to be involved in surrogacy contracts/transactions, and a brief summary of applicable laws.
This video has really struck a chord. We've received a number of notes on how it has helped people in thinking about (and communicating about) reproductive technologies.
This summer CBC founder and president Jennifer Lahl was interviewed for a documentary on reproductive technologies for German TV. Jennifer's segment, aptly titled "This is Huxley's Brave New World," is available online (the interview is in English with German subtitles).
